Trying to set up pixelpost

Hi, I am an absolute newbie and am trying to use PP for setting up my photoblog.

I have a free host awesomewebspace.com , but not sure as to where and how to upload PP . i am technologically challenged. Please help.

Download pixelpost from here:
http://www.pixelpost.org/releases/pixelpost_v1.6.0.zip

Extract/copy the files out of the achieve into a place locally on your computer. open up:
/pixelpost_v1.6.0/doc/install.html
in your favorite web browser.

If your webhost meets the requirements under:
"Program Requirements"
(you could look at their plan descriptions or send them an email)

Then proceed to follow install instructions.

In terms of the where/how, might I suggest a free ftp extention for firefox called fireftp:
http://fireftp.mozdev.org/
and the how will be from following install instructions, where you put it will depend on what kind of url you want for your photoblog. eg:
placing it in the root of your webhost will put it at:
yourdomainname.com
whereas putting it in a folder called 'photoblog' will put it at:
yourdomainname.com/photoblog

Thanks for your help, I did as you had advised me to do , but I am gettin ghte following error messgae when i am vsiting the page :-

So you must read docs to Pixelpost and put correct data into the /includes/pixelpost.php file.

The error message means that you do not have the correct database username and password in pixelpost.php, and you are being denied access to the database.

Hi I noticed someting interesting . When I try logging into my database using PHPmy admin , I am allowed in but strangely pixelpost.php refuses to accept the user name or the database name or the pssword. Please advise.

phpMyAdmin may be using a different authentication method than the mysql security. Check the privileges in mysql for a user that has permission to the database you setup. You can also reset the password if you need to.

If the user you're logging in to phpMyAdmin with doesn't have access to change privileges, then you'll need to contact your host for the correct user name and password for the database.

Missing data
You need at least a title for your image, and an image. Please note, that no image was uploaded because of the missing information!

i am getting the following error even though I am filling in the Image title & Tags ,uploading images is not helping, Please help
