auto rotate for thumbnails?

I would like to know if it would be possible to make my thumbnails that go from left to right at the bottom of my screen rotate if a person puts their mouse to either the left side or right side. Kinda like this

But I would rather it be just from going over the areas, and as you get further over to either side, it would speed up. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you want to accomplish can be done with JS exactly. I could be very wrong though.

Schonhose (http://forum.pixelpost.org/member.php?u=2683) has a few prototypes of this concept working but without the scroll speed increasing. What you want is more or less sounding like it needs to be done in Flash.

It would be possible but flash is much better for it.
