editing templates

How does one go about editing a template? I don't see any kind of editor feature in the admin section which gives you access to the template files. Am I just blind? Or do you actually have to use third party software (like GoLive) in order to edit a template?

You must use 3rd party software like Golive, Dreamweaver, Notepad, ETC.
