Hi.

It would be very nice that when I add an image in pixelpost, pixelpost will rescale the original image, like it currently does with thumbnails, to a width and height that I have specified. It could be handy in many ways. You could make templates that can increase and decrease size of the image you are displaying to make the best experience for the viewer, and you could easily rebuild the size of your images from the original stored in case you want your images in a new size.

I am not much of a coder and can barely hack together my own templates but I'll google and play around some myself.

If anyone makes a hack like this, or it gets implemented in pixelpost it would be aswesome.

There is already an addon, made by myself, found in my Addons RSS feed in my signature.

It's called Auto Resize Addon v2.03

Most have found it to work without a hitch, some people have had trouble with it. I have not had time to refine it but go ahead and try it for yourself.

Sweet!

Thank you for making this addon.

I just uploaded it and looked around. I was going to try it on one of the images allready uploaded since the addon options to rescale it are on the edit page of images aswell. I set a new width and chose to save original photo, then clicked "update post", but no changes were made to the image.

Yeah, i know. It's a bug when editing images. Only the most recent posted photo can be resized.

New uploads should work fine though.

A patched version will be available when i have the time to look into it.

I hope you can do some work on it soon before you forget about it. When you make the adjustments, would it work to resize the allready existing images that I have uploaded with your addon? The fullsize_ images would exist so I guess so. I just don't want to have to reupload all images and lose all comments.

If you fixed it so one could edit the size of uploaded images, this would be a kickass addon. As it is now, it is merely usable since there is no point with keeping the original image if you can not use it to rescale the image again.

Thank you very much for your great effort so far. I tried to look at the code to fix it myself but it was way over my head.
