I'm new to pixelpost...uploaded to the server and got the install going. But when I uploaded an image and then tried to view it, I got this error message:

Error:
No language folder exists or the file "lang-.php" is missing in that folder.

I do have the language folder uploaded...there is no "lang-.php" file in it and never was (in the original pixelpost_v1.6.60 file that I downloaded from pixelpost.org). There is a "lang-english.php" file there, and many others for other languages.

Does somebody know how to fix this??

Thanks!

I just found another forum post that pointed out that this happens in firefox but not in explorer. I get the same error in safari on my mac. The site doesn't give me the error, though, if I use explorer on my pc.

Should I take that to mean that there's no fix and pixelpost just isn't compatible with firefox or safari?

Pixelpost works in Firefox and Safari. Check your language folder on the server and make sure all of the files are there that should be. Sounds like one may be missing.

Try loging in at the admin panel and set a language for your blog. Under options you find the language setting. Set this to a language.

Alternative language can be used if you want a multilingual blog.

I am having this same problem... my pp installs have been working fine for a long time and now all the sudden, Kaput! I tried doing a total install, I even wiped the databases and started over that way. Still getting this error. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this, and more importantly found a working solution.
