i know how to do that (using ftp client like filezilla or smart ftp, i even tried through browser) but i still cannot upload images and no matter how i change the permissions, in my admin panel i get Image Directory: ERROR - Images folder not writable! [...]Current CHMOD: 0755 (even if it is not 755)
can someone help me?

Hi,

And you're sure that you get the same error when it's 777?

755 definitely won't work, unless you used suexec... which you can't "right out of the box". But 777 mean anyone and everyone can read, write, and execute that particualr file or directory.

yes, in filezilla there is 777 but it seems that pixelpost thinks differently :(

PP thinks the same what server. IMHO Filezilla thinks that it can change chmod and there can be no such possibility.

Try to change permissions from admin panel level.
