no of templates shows only two

I just download new templates to templates folder. However, under options/templates i see only the default templates ie horizon and simple. I dont see the new templates under it for me to update

Did you extract the zip/rar archives?

Did you upload the template into a folder?

Are the files in that added folder and not in a subfolder?
