With the release of version 1.7 approaching I would like to ask this community to help updating the language package. Unfortunately not all translators can be tracked down so we need your HELP.
I've contacted some of the known translators, asking them to update the language files, but some translators are just unknown.
And this is where the community kicks in: I have prepared a package containing all the adminpanel and frontpage languages files and I'm looking for people who are willing to spend some time to check the translations and translate the new stuff.
You can download all files at http://www.pixelpost.org/tmp/language.zip
Please mention in this thread which language you picked up to prevent two or more people working on the same language. THANKS!

Do you need a swedish translation for the admin-file?
I noticed that there wasn't any in the zip-file.
I have started to translate the english-admin into swedish (using pp160) for my own benefit, but I you need it I'd be happy to share it.

Will do.
It could take awhile though, is there any final release date for pp1.7?

Not a fixed date, it depends on some minor stuff we have to fix and how fast we get all the translations.

We still got three languages left to translate:
Spanish, Portuguese and Persian.
Ask Raminia for Persian translation.

Hi
I am using the translated version of this script in Persian but the problem is that I had to change the template because Persian language is written from right to left..
I could provide you with Persian translation but you need to do some changes in the script to change the direction from ltr to rtl for languages which is written from right to left..
Have fun

Hi there,
I think we still need Persian language file to be updated. If I'm right I'll do it. We can add and RTL css in that people can replace or a dynamic switch in the code.

Well, you do the CSS and I do the translation..
My part is nearly done and I just need to go over it once again to dot the i's and cross the t's..
Have fun

First of all: hello.
I have installed Pixelpost and I liked it so much I decided to translated into Catalan and checked Spanish version that sounds funny (no offense).
Where can I upload them?
Thanks,
Joan

Thanks again ;)
Hi there,
I can take care of the Persian translations + designing the required RTL CSS + making sure the templates bundled with 1.7.1+ will support RTL correctly.
Current (temp) Persian translations use non-standard characters (according to the Persian Academy); I will fix that too.
Just let me know if there is a SVN repo you're using, and I'll send patches to you.
I'm also planning on adding an addon (and before that, making such an addon possible by modifying the core) to use different calendar systems (like Jalali calendar, used in Iran) instead of the default Gregorian calendar. (Many projects support such calendars either natively or through addons; examples are Wordpress and MediaWiki).
By the way... I'm also interested in helping with the development and bug-fixing of Pixelpost. So if you want a helping hand there, just let me know.
Best,
Huji

Dear euzun,
Translations are not done by the Pixelpost development team; they are done by regular users like you and me, who are interested to help Pixelpost. If you like, you can translate Pixelpost to your language!
