ADVND Visitorcounter running crazy...

Hi there,
I'am having right now some problems with my Statistics.
Everytime I refresh my page, the counter adds 13 more visitis. This is impossible, since I am the only one, who can visit it, it's not public yet. And even if it were, I never 'll have so many visitors. ;)

Anybody can help?

Most probably search engine spiders.
Never refer to that counter for accurate readings of visitors statistics.
Your hosting company most definitely has one that you can rely on. Google analytics also does the job.

Now it has stopped. It's working fine again, but I have about 10.000 too much counts!
Any idea how to reset the counter?

To reset the count to 0, you could empty the visitors database table. Do NOT "drop" it, just "empty" it. Make sure you make a backup of your database before you proceed to alter it in any way.

It's always better to be safe than sorry.
