Hi there,

I wondered when you upload an image and the thumbnail is auto-cropped to, say, 60px x 60px is there a way to have that generated thumbnail cropped so the thumbnail image is centered? At present the auto-crop is to the left of the image.

Thanks
Karl

use on of the alternative cropping methods. I suggest the Flashcrop addon.

Hi there, thanks for the tip. I tried it (I am using PP1.7RC1) and it seems to function but when I edit a thumbnail and click crop it does not seem to crop the image, it just reverts to original PP crop.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Karl

do you have correct gd library installed? What does the general info page in admin panel say?

Try refreshing your browser with CTRL-F5. Probably a caching issue.

Hi all,

Think it is working ok now although if I update an existing thumbnail I have to refresh the browser once the update is applied. Is this normal.

In options/thumnails what setting should I have applied for 'crop thumbnail: on, off or 12cropimage?

This is my GD: GD-lib bundled (2.0.28 compatible) with JPEG support

I really like this add-on, it gives better quality thumbnails than before.

Thank you
Karl

1) yes, this is normal browser behaviour. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
2) If you use FlashCrop Addon, set the cropping to "off" (as described in the FlashCrop documentation)

addendum 2) or set it to yes to preserve ratio.
