Date style in reactions

There is a date style (in reactions) I see in several photoblogs that I'd love to use in my photoblog. This date is displayed on the right of the reaction, with the day of the month displayed big, with next to it on the right the short monthname and year.

It is a little bit difficult to explain, so I have some examples (look at the reactions) here (wonderful picture by the way!) (http://foto.schonhose.nl/index.php?showimage=155#bottom) and here (http://www.kraagjes.nl/daily/2007/11/26).

It looks like an addon, but strange enough I can't find anything about it on this forum. Can anybody help me how to achieve this for my own photoblog?

They are just three spans each with a different CSS styling.

but I guess you have to hack the corefiles somewhere to apply the spans, don't you?

Is that a addon you wrote yourself? Because I can't find anything in Extend...
