Help! - My old photo don't show up anymore

HI!

I hope somebody can help me. I scruded up when I upgraded from PP1.6 to 1.7 so I decided I would do a clean install. The installation process went great. PP 1.7 work great with new picture I uploaded after the installation but the old ones won't show. Instead I get the title of the image. (Both on the main page, on the browse page and on the admin page. All the comments are still there. I must be missing something


Can somebody help Please?

PS: The only photo you are going to see is on the main page... because it was uploaded after the installation of PP 1.7. Eveything else is invisible.

When you did a clean install, did you delete everything and install in the same directory? Or did you install in a new directory? If it was the same directory, did you save your images and thumbnails folders?

I did a clean install. But thank God, I did keep a copy of it. So After reading your reply, I took the image folder and the thumbnail folder ang uploaded everything to my site... but no change :( it has the same behavior as before...

Any idea?

I did keep a copy a the image folder... but the local one... not the online one... Can this be fixed????

The PP database only stores the names of the files in the images and thumbnails directory. If you deleted these directories you will have to go back and re-upload the files, or see if your webhost can restore those files for you.
