After upgrade, empty pulldowns in admin

Hello. I just upgraded from 1.5 to 1.6. Everything seems to have worked, except that when I go through the admin panel there are several places where pull-down lists appear, but there is no text to say what they are, and the lists are empty.

I took some screenshots. Can anyone tell me (a) what is missing, and (b) how to restore them?

It looks like you forgot to update the language files.

What the...? I had updated the language files, but it looks like I missed a couple. I re-uploaded all files and now the problem is resolved. Thanks!
