Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to control who views your gallery and what sections they view. Thought it might be possible with password protection—the mac web gallery has this function.

I am setting up a gallery for magazine editors so they can view images available for purchase. I was hoping that I could set up different sections on different subjects for different editors.

I don't want the editor to have access the entire gallery. Instead I want them to access just one section or category. The idea is so that I can keep all my photos in one gallery but just control who sees what part of the gallery.

I have been trying to search the forum for past topics but haven't been able to find anything.

Can anyone out there help or give me any tips if this is even possible?

Thanks again.
Shelby

this is more a hack than a real addon...
I wrote it long time ago and didn't upgrade it to 1.71 already.
It is working fine in my blog on users side but not in Admin right now and it is quite complicated to install.
Furthermore it is meant to keep some images from being seen and to allow it to people who have the correct username/password but it is not working with different groups of persons and different images for those.

What you describe is not the purpose of a Photoblog software like Pixelpost but for a real gallery. Try coppermine or gallery2, I guess this will fit your needs better than Pixelpost
