Hi,
On www.krabbendam.com I use a 1.7.1 version of Pixelpost. Visitors should be able to leave comments on this site.
But, the problem is that everytime someone tries to leave a comment and clicks on 'ADD THE COMMENT' they get an error saying something like; You have to wait for another xxx seconds to post a comment' (translation from dutch...I hope you people catch my drift...). And for that; no comments are added.
Go and try for yourself and see what happens... :-)
Does anyone have any clue how to solve this?
Looking forward to any suggestion!
Cheers,
Krabco

You need to adjust your spam settings.
You can find out more about each option here:
http://www.pixelpost.org/docs/AdminPanel/Options#spam
The one you need to look at the most is: Prevent spam flood
Same issue here with Pixelpost 1.71(upgraded from 1.6). Regardless of number entered in "PREVENT SPAM FLOOD" column, I keep getting the error saying "Comment flood protection is enabled. You need to wait XX seconds before posting another comment." Any suggestions are welcome. And here's my setting within Spam Control page.
Update Ban Lists: Nothing in Moderation/Black List, some words in Referrer Banned List (Default)
ENABLE TOKEN IN FORMS: NO
(I already took out <TOKEN> tag from template)
PREVENT SPAM FLOOD: 30s
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF URI: 5
Thank you,
Mito

does your server support sessions?
I just sent server admin an e-mail. BTW, I just noticed that there's no "tmp" folder created on my server even though it's set to do so. Does it have anything to do with the issue? Here's my host information.
URL http://XXXXXX
PHP-version 4.4.6 (Pixelpost's min requirement: PHP version: 4.3.0 )
Session save path /tmp
MySQL version 4.0.24-standard-log (Pixelpost's min requirement: MySQL: 3.23.58 )
GD-lib bundled (2.0.28 compatible) with JPEG support
File Uploads to Pixelpost site are possible.
Server Software Apache
EXIF Pixelpost is using exifer v1.5 for EXIF-information.
Just confirmed. My server DOES support sessions.

ok strange. We have to dig in deeper for that.
I'll leave it as is for now. Thanks a lot.

Fortuneatly, I have a person who is persistant and kind enough to tell me that she has not been able to post (having the same problem as described). Any suggestions or questions are VERY welcome. The site is http://www.thislldotoo.com.
Thanks,
David
