I have read through what feels like a zillion posts trying to find an answer and now with blurred vision and tired eyes i'm asking for help. This is my first time trying to use pp and i am a total noob! I followed the instructions and triple checked that i did not miss anything but when it says to open browser and go to the install.php address the page opens but is completely blank. i triple checked the addres, insuring i was not making spelling errors and still nothing.

I appologize in advance if this seems like an easy solution to all of you pro's and yes i did read the many installation documents and forum posts but no help :( I am not sure what information is needed of me to help me get set up so please let me know and i will be more than happy to do whatever ti takes.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me,
:) MG

Do you have PHP and MySQL on that server? It seems like it is a free-webhosting service.

it is a free webhosting site but it offers
PHP 5.1.6 & MySQL 5.0.27. I have my MySQL Database all set up and ready to manage with phpMyAdmin. Is that not enough?

Yes, that would be enough. I'm a bit puzzled why there is no output then.

Any suggestions at all to try? I must be doing something wrong just not sure what lol.

Could you create a file named info.php with the following content:

<?phpinfo();?>

Make sure you use an ascii editor and not Microsoft word or anything like that.

Upload the file to your server and open it in a browser. Do you see any content?

i used sorce edit to create the file and uploaded it and opened and still blank (other than the sites ads of course).

well, PHP isn't working in that case. So contact the company and ask them about this.
