hi

i just tried uploading a new picture when i received an error message and when i now try to load my blog (http://www.blacksun-productions.com/blog) i get the error message:

Table 'pixelpost_pixelpost' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

i can still access my pixelpost admin, however under images everything is empty now and none of my pictures show up anymore.

what should i do under myphp admin ? will all my entries be lost if i empty or drop the database ?

thanks for any help.

Uhm how about doing a repair?

Dropping or truncate the table will lead to losing all your entries (not your pictures, but all the data associated with it, titles, descriptions, posting dates etc etc).

oh ok, i did the exact steps in the link and it said database repaired successfully, but now when i try to load my blog it says:

Coming Soon! Nothing to show. No image to show here or they are set to show in future!

would it help if i upload and overwrite certain files ?

no, that means your database probably is crashed so severe it has been emptied. Please contact your hoster to see if they have a backup.

Like I said: contact your hosting company! Reinstalling will NOT solve the problem!

Hi
UUhm I got the same error today. Is there a problem with pixelpost or is it the host server? Just wondering why is it happening?

Christian

Hello Christian,

try to export your database in in the PHP Admin, perhaps it's a solution to restore the data and if it works, delete all and re-install PP.

Hi Dexys
Thanks, I sent/open a support ticket with my webhost (bluehost) and it was fix within a couple of hours. Regards
