As my photoblog had its 2nd birthday, I made a new template for it and now would like to share this template.

It's called "braeburn" (like the cultivar of apple) and is made for images up to 700 pixel. It uses the paged archive addon.

See a demo here (http://potd.deenee.de) and download from here (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/templates/braeburn/).

Hope you like it!

If you find any error or sth. please let me know.

Nice clean template ... small problem with the archive pages in that thumbnails do not fit in design See: http://www.photoblog.policomm.info/index.php?x=browse&pagenum=1
Any ideas why?

i can't see the problem about thumnail in demo site for archive pages

maybe this can help ;

You'll need the page-by-page archive addon (already available in standard pixelpost installation, just activate it in admin panel).

digitaldome ... yes, add-on activated and parameters played with. I agree that the demo works OK but my site ...?

Ok I fixed it now (or at least I hope so). When you download the new version here (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/templates/braeburn/download/), you just need to replace browse_template.html with the new one. Please let me know if it works!

Great template, denee! Thanks very much! I really want to use it, it's beautiful. So I installed it.

No problems for me in Firefox, but in IE the thumbnailproblem does exist. The thumbs all line up horizontally, like this: http://www.smarts.nl/BouncingLight/index.php?x=browse&pagenum=1

But you have to watch in IE, strangely it does work in Firefox. The same happens in policomm's blog.

I used the latest download, tried again to replace the browse-template, the pagebypage-addon is activated and there are no 3rd party addons active I think. Am I missing something? Can you help me, deenee?

Great job on this template! I love it!

However, I think there is a small bug in the image template. The Add image in the comments section is pointing to the image at your site, making it very slow to load the page.

You should fix this unless you want people using your templates to keep hitting your site.

Cheers,
Ben

Well! I tried out every thumbnail size I could imagine and tested the archive in FF and IE (newest versions). And it worked for me, I hope it will work for you, too.

The "add comment" button is no longer linked to my blog.

Download the newest version here (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/templates/braeburn/download/)!

:)

Once again, great job on the template! Thanks for fixing the image bug.

I put up my photography blog (using your template) and got some feedback from a few people. Basically, visitors don't know you can go to a previous image unless they hover over the image. There is also no way to go forward after you went backwards.

I like the clean look but I think the template could be improved with a "backward" or "forward" navigation (e.g. button under the image).

Just my 2 cents,
Ben

Thats something I also thought about when I made the theme... I dont really know where to put these links. But as you are the fifth person who claims this, I'll make a new version with navigation links (and maybe a small thumbrow if I wangle that).

I like the template also, but the forward and backward navs are essential. The majority of people looking on the net are not savy and will get lost. Maybe you could integrate a hover left and right arrow over the image?

Everything works fine for me with templates. I do notice that IE seems to render the page slightly to the left and not in centre.

Hi!

I'm using the Braeburn theme and noticed that the Effect.toggle - function won't work.
The script seems to be ok, but anyway it does not slide.

What's the failure?

Lovely template which I've swapped over too after losing everything today bar the 5 most recent images.

Anyway, made some slight amendments but for some reason it will not add new images (although it does add the title and description)... not sure if anyone else has had this problem?

Ignore the above... just noticed that the latest version of pixelpost must not like spaces inbetween a file name.

Will test it again when I get home tonight!
