Full size thumbnails?

I'm thinking about trying to use Pixelpost to create a website that functions like this site:
http://www.jeremycowart.com

My thought is to make each tab link to the thumbnail page for the respective category. The question is, then, can full size images be used a "thumbnails"? If so, my life just got easier... I think :-)

In admin>options>thumbnails you can specify the size of your thumbnails. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't let you set them to something large like "1024 x 1024", but you could always try it and see.
