Image sequencing

Maybe I'm really dumb... but why does my first image load, and clicking on the image goes BACKWARDS?? It doesn't make sense to me for one to back up through a portfolio. And there is no backwards from the first image - therefore clicking on the initial image does nothing! SURELY there's a better way...??? Adding numbers to prefix my titles got everything in the desired order, but people are already commenting "what does the '11. ' mean in your caption?"

Hi,

check what you have set up in admin->general->image display order (last entry on the general page). Switch it to "Date and time for the entry" and "descending order" (displays the newest entry first and goes backwards) or "ascending order" (displays the oldest photo first and goes forward) and your "problem" should be solved. ;)

Well ti's not a portfolio, but a PHOTOBLOG application, therefore it is indeed very sensible to have the newest photo first and move backwards..

As Ubbe mentioned in his previous post Pixelpost is designed to be a Photoblog application (a.k.a. one photo per day). It is not gallery software nor was it designed to work as a portfolio.

Granted, you can use the backend of Pixelpost and get a long way by using addons and custom code. However, in the long run Pixelpost is designed to facilitate the posting of images with basically no relations between them (well, you want to display them on the internet so that is the only relationship).
