Image pages loading extrememly slowly.

Started serving up pages very slowly. Admin still functions but if I try to preview an image it can take 30 seconds or more to load what used to load instantly.

I tried searching this but didn't come up with anthing similar.

More testing seems to show random load times. Sometimes very fast somtimes very slow. Even for the same page I have already been to.

Let me guess, GoDaddy hosting?

Um yes. It worries me that you can guess that from my post. Do they have notorious server performance?

Are you using Defensio? For some reason, I found that slowed down my pages drastically, as well as the Pixelpost admin panel. I switched to Akismet and all works fine.

It seems I have the same problem as some other godaddy users. The posted solution hasn't quite worked for me but I think I may be on my way to resolving it.
