Installation almost finished - step finalize failed

I use one of personal internet pages to makes some try in order to not crasch the safe actual blogs (separetd hosts and server)
So I wanted to install PP 1.7 (downloaded on pixepost.org) to test new templates (hosting free.fr). Twice, I failed on the same step "finalize". Each step before are successfull.

at the step "finalize" Error message : "$admin_lang_error :
$admin_start_1 "lang-english.php" $admin_start_2" although, I choose "french language"...

Yesterday night, at the first fail, I deleted all the files uplaoded to clean the directory on server. This morning, I started again and checked (filezilla) the directory of language was really uploaded. It Is. I check too the rights of this directory "755" Is it right ? Or should I choose "644" ?

I don't understand why with this hosting and version of pp, it's impossible to "finalize"right now (my very first photo blog was under pp 1.5 on this hosting, I move to a us hosting particularly modern, "stable and with tools updated).
I ve read some subject by googling this error but i didn't find a clear solution...

May I receive some help from expert or people aware of this troubles installation ?

The correct error message should be:

Error: No <b>language</b> folder exists or the file "lang-english.php" is missing in that folder.\n<br />Make sure that you have uploaded all necessary files with the exact same names as mentioned here.

Basically Pixelpost cannot find the english language file. Even if you choose French you have to upload the english language file because if you use an old version of the language file Pixelpost will use the english file which is always up to date.

Another problem might be restrictions by your hosting company in such way that Pixelpost isn't allowed to open files in another folder.

I have the same problem. My installation is cleaned. It's the first time that I used PP and when the install is finished, when I want to log in the administrator console, impossible to login :-( The only thing which workd it's the regenerated password. I delete all cookies, etc... I test on different computer it's the same result.

In fact, I've just find a solution (workaround), check "Log me on automatically each visit: " and it's ok. I think it's a bug. :-(

I update my previous message. I just started tonight, again to install and finalize . It all worked regularly till a peaceful end. So i guess the pb was on the host server side.

I have the same problem. Recently while trying to move my blog from www.konishi.dk to www.konishi.dk/photoblog my blog went dead. I then tried to download pixelpost 1.7, but even though I have tried to reupload it all, downloaded again and reuploaded I always get stuck after configuration finished succesfully with this:

$admin_lang_error :
$admin_start_1 "lang-.php" $admin_start_2

I contacted my serverhost one.com, but they replied that they hadn't changed anything since m last blog, so they thought it might be something with the script. Can anybody help me with this? Did anybody find any workaround? Can I change some scripts in the php file to make it work? It woud be of great help if anyone knows just a little bit about it.
