How far does Pixelpost scale?

I plan to use the "switchy" theme. Initially, I want to upload about 200 images. Over the next couple years, I expect to have over 500. Will the thumbnail browser of pixel post scale well with this?

All thumbnail are on one page - goes ok for me.
