I want to be able to have my photos resized to the users screen size when they open up the page. Is there a script that can already do this?

So basically, what it should do is get a call on screen size, and then using that information, it should make my images smaller in relation to that users pixels available. It doesn't need to change if they resize the window, just set initially depending on the size of their screen.

Any help?

So as far as i can tell there used to be an addon that would allow you to resize your image to any size that you specify on the fly, but it only works for pixelpost v6 and not the newer pixelpost.

which kind of sucks. because otherwise i could have used that addon and then just got a call for the viewers screen size, and combined the two into a custom image size.

does anyone know if there is an addon like that for the current version of pixelpost.

Maybe look into this : http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/

But the problem is that that's a .php thing and I don't know how to integrate that into my current pixelpost install. Anyone want to help me on that one because then I'm sure I can get it working.

which addon can be used for 1.6 for this purpose? I would like to look into that addon.

I'm not sure which addon you're referring to, but
the Auto Resize Addon http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/addons/auto-resize-addon/ works with PP 1.7.

It's discussed in the forums here:
http://www.pixelpost.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7628

The older versions are still available for download and one of them certainly works with PP1.6.

Yup, and in a few more days i'll be releasing a multisize addon that will take a fullsized photo and resize it multiple times (up to 4). You'll also be able to upload the original fullsized photo for a total of 5 different image sizes.

Default sizes are (Small 600x400), (Medium 780x520), (Large 900x600), (Extra Large 1155x770) and whatever your original size is (Fullsize 1680x1050) for example.

Of course you can change these defaults at any time but you get the idea. . .

I've been swamped. The docs are almost finished. You'll have to wait a few more days though.

Once I feel it's ready, I'll create a thread and look for serious beta testers...
