I'm going to dig up an ooollllddd thread here.
Some time ago, there was an addon that was kind of a brutal read more link:
http://www.pixelpost.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2482
That add on was enough for my purposes back then, and now I have no need for it personally.
However, I'm helping my girlfriend put together a photo blog and have come across a need for a properly fleshed out "read more" solution.
The idea is to use the multiphoto add-on, and have text set with a div to the right of each photo, set to the same height. In the event that there is more text than she can fit within that div, she can drop a wordpress style <MORE> tag within the description, and whatever follows won't show up on the main page, but instead, on the comments page for that image.
I almost see it as having <IMAGE_NOTES> displaying the the whole description, and say a new tag <IMAGE_EXCERPT> displaying everything in the description up to the <MORE> point.
Does anyone think that this could be done, and is there any other interest in having such an add-on?
Cheers,
Nathan
