Hello,
I'm having a weird problem with PP 1.7.1, some addons I'm trying to use keep deactivating themselfs for some weird reason.
It started with Ajax Rating Statistics v0.5, Ajax Ratings v1.0 and Ajax Ratings (Admin) v1.0, the addons worked fine, I could of vote and use them and so on, but the next morning I check the blog, and ... no Ajax ratings anymore. The tags were still in the template file and so on, but the addons got deactivated, somehow.
I just said oh well, not such a big deal, and moved on. Now, I get the same with 2 other addons, Code generator for robot/s v0.1 and Pixelpost Page Titles v1.2, they both work fine, etc, but every 2 days or so they just get deactivated somehow.
While this aint that bad either, it makes me wonder what's going on, at some point its prone that I'll find some addon I really like, and then what ?:)
Is this a known problem ? Is there anything to do to fix it ? Please advise, I really like PP, but if this is not a fixable problem I'll switch to WordPress, its really anoying to have to check every day and see what's working or not on the blog :)
Thankyou for the patience :)

It is impossible for Pixelpost to actually deactivate an addon on it's own. Some user input is needed to do so.
You are now a member of a very small group of people who have been experiencing this phenomenon.
Before I dig up old posts and try to find some kind of commonality between you all, try contacting your web host and ask if they have restored your database lately or if they are aware of any changes.

Thankyou for the reply, means a lot :)
I opened a ticket with eleven2.com, as soon as I get any update from them I'll post it in here.

Oki,
This is the reply I got from Eleven2.com :
" Hello,
There have been no MySQL upgrades, roll backs, or modifications. If you have further questions or issues, please let us know."
The 2 addons were disabled again this morning :(
Any idea what is going on ?

No, I have no clue but luckily i'm intrigued enough where I'll take some time and look into this issue. Would you be willing to supply me with root Pixelpost Admin, FTP and MySQL access?

I will support dwilkinsjr in finding this issue, cause it is rather peculiar.

Are you on a windows service plan or a linux plan?

dwilkinsjr and I discussed it earlier and we may have found the reason why. In order to make sure we'll make slight changes to the core files. If the problem persists we're obviously wrong and it is back to the drawing board.
Otherwise we're right and we'll have a fix for it.

This is starting to happen more often to me too now. Expecially the SoloIT add-on seems to like to switch itself off a lot.

send me FTP and Pixelpost Admin access and i'll set up some debug files where I can track what's going on in regards to addon files.

Can you guys provide me with some detail about register_globals on your servers?
construct a file in a text-editor (not wordpad nor ms word but a true ascii-editor) containing:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Upload this file to your server (name it info.php) and view the page in your browser.
Look for the register_globals setting (do a CTRL-F). Thanks.
