Can i stop people from right clicking images?

Hi Team

Just a quick question.

Is it possible to stop people from right clicking images? So what i mean by that is, to stop them saving my images on there pc.

Or perhaps is there a way to automatically put watermarks on the images?

If this is already done, please do let me know.

DON'T disable the right click menu! This is very bad as this menu contains a lot more than just 'Save As'. By disabling it you're crippling a user's browsing experience which is not a good thing at all. Also, when someone would disable javascript they could easily get the image anyway as your anti-right-click solution would stop working.

A better technique is to overlay the image with something else by means of markup and CSS. This happens in many Pixelpost themes including mine. STILL, this can also be circumvented by visitors by either disabling CSS or by simply getting the image from their browser cache.

Bottom line is: If your image is on the web, people who really want to steal CAN AND WILL steal it from you.

Your only option left would be watermarking. I personally don't bother as it ruins the look of my photos. If someone really wants to steal my stuff that bad they'll find a way anyway, even if it means they have to remove a watermark.

perhaps the easilest solution is just to create a little sig/name on my photos.

Is there a easy solution to put a signature/name on all my photos at once? Or just do it individualy on each photo before uploading?

In FF3 there's an option to prevent JavaScript from messing with your context menus. If you're trying to disable my right-click I'll never know.

There's a watermark addon, available on the old PP site here: http://www.pixelpost.org/v1/index.php?x=downloads&details=97 that will allow you to dymically generate a watermark on all of your images. I used it for a while, but wanted to be more selective about where I placed the watermark so I do it in photoshop before uploading now.

There's also another watermark addon here: http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/addons/watermark-admin-addon/ but I have not used it.
