I think i'm switching to some other program.. not that it doesn't work well but it's obviously not compatible with me or my web host...

when i try to post a test photo, it works.

when i try to input a comment there's a nice 'comment' display that opens on top of the page, however when i submit i get a "500 internal server error" :((

Who are you hosting with?
Post a link to your Pixelpost site.

well i put the page down however if you want to check it for yourself just email or send me a message and i'll put it up again

i'm REALLY wondering what's the cause of all these troubles i'm having.. want to set up (fast) a photoblog.. i've looked at all the possibilities and pixel post seemed the only decent way to make it..

photoshop elements will resize albums and compress too much, even at quality set to 'high'. the flash based album is nice tough.. however a 6 MP image ends up being about 100K and really small and it's easy to see compression artifacts... :(((

irfanView might be my next try at making a web gallery..

i only need something SIMPLE to select photos from the computer, set a max width to images (MAX width.. not 'width'!!!! if an image is less, leave it as is!!!) so that it displays decently in ANY browser, and a decent compession.. i would have say a folder with differently sized images (i take pictures.. import them in photoshop el, then edit them (resize/crop) so the resulting images which i'll save will be put in a 'web' folder. The only thing i need is

a program that would take this batch of images, simply resize those which are larger than say 1024 pixels to 1024 (this way all images will show and viewers won't need to scroll and they'll be big enough). I would set a decent compression level, and then i could upload by FTP..

I don't really need thumbnail images seems like a waste of time/space?! Why? say the resulting image is 800*600.. it's easy to make html code or javascript code that would resize the original into say 100*100.. So i would need thumbnails however i don't think i need the thumbnail IMAGES!

I tried wordpress.. problem is: seems to work fine however it only occupies about half the screen!!!! For some reason, the 'relative' to screen doesn't seem interesting to people? I would like say a menu on top or bottom but the rest (image/text) should occupy the whole width of the screen.. i KNOW it's possible to do it, with a properly programmed template but i don't have time to design one (used to know HTML - not XHTML nor CSS details...) and i can't find a working template that would do that simple thing!!! Don't need no fancy layout or anything!!!.. just a template that would set the posting size to full width of the browser.. otherwise the problem with wordpress is that if i input a blog and the image is say not even very big (800*600) it will overfill the screen's size since there is a wordpress menu on the left or right, and if there isn't a menu it's on top or bottom but if the screen is.. say more than 800*600, instead of the text taking full width it will be a stripe in the middle of the screen with empty areas on both sides... :((( and a photo, instead of taking the full area and stretching it or resizing it, will only start after the left side's empty area and overflow on the right side, past the middle stripe.. even if a small photo!!! it looks clunky and will also display a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the browser's window :( UGLY!!! :(

I don't really need 'atom' or 'rss' feeds.. I don't really need comments tough they could be cool.

The only thing i like about photoshop el 'make a web album' option is that the flash resulting page is nicelly WORKING. The result isn't nice tough (image compression too high and image size too small) :(

Anyone has an idea?
