Here goes. :)
DEMO (http://pblog.strikdiploma.nl)
DOWNLOAD 0.95 (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/templates/pblog-clean-de-luxe/download/)
SCREENSHOT (http://xs129.xs.to/xs129/08305/index331.jpg)
It does:
- provide lightweight clean coding;
- have a nice very clean look;
- offer the possibility to, with some basic html/css skills, fully adjust to your own needs;
- have layers.
It does not:
- have tables;
- have fancy flashy thingies;
- accomodate different size of images (demo = 900x600px);
It uses one addon which is Photo-mosaic (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/addons/photo-mosaic/): .

My very first template, be gentle. ;)

Well, let me be the first to write something about it. I just took a look and the template is nice and clean. It is a bit minimalistic for my taste, but there are people who like it minimalistic.
The only problem I have with it is it is very bright, mostly due to the white background. I have to admit it is a matter of taste.
As for the comments and the views and the rather sarcastic remark addressing the community: people have holidays. It has been slow the past few weeks. Don't be that offended that people took the time to have a look and didn't bother go back to the forum to tell you about it. You look at it the wrong way I guess. I let you in on a little secret: the majority of people post only because it doesn't work or they dislike something. So in that case, you're doing more than alright! It is all a matter of perspective.
Let me ask you this, would you be happy with 50 comments saying "Nice template, I downloaded it"? ;)

I would have been happy with any kind of reply to be honest, negative or positive.
People, as you well know, put time and effort (in my case not as much as others, I realize that) in making stuff for other people and the very least you (in general) can do is take the time to give any feedback. A simple "well done" or even "hm, sloppy coding" goes a long way.
Might be me have too much expectations as I really don't have any prior experiences with this, but it is what I try to do when trying out something somebody else made.
Thanks anyway.

Ow, don't get me wrong. I go agree with you all the way. I do have a lot of addons, some exceeds the 1k downloads. All the questions I get is from people not reading the manual.
Occasionally there is someone who contributes something real. All this has led to the fact I won't share the latest Gmap addon with the public at this time. Mainly because I don't feel the hours I have put in rewriting the whole thing from scratch are not justified by the people using it.

Hi Errrwin !
My opinion :
I think this is the most minimalistic template I have seen.
I prefer a little more designed elements and some "gimmicks" but I think this is a great basis for personalizing the own blog.
Thank you for creating an addon :-)

I like really really minimalistic myself, as you might have guessed. ;) And yes, being able to easily adjust to your own taste was in the back of my mind. Simple = good.
Thanks, Carsten.

Thank you very much. :)
If I had the coding skills to make it fluid, I would....but I don't. Feel free (anyone) to alter it though, I'm totally fine with that.

when i was trying to make it fluid i tried a zillion different things... i couldn't tell you how i did it! i would zip up my code for you but i don't have a zipper lol... and besides, it's not clean code....
