Hi together!

I am working on setting up a new homepage with pixelpost software. Now I was wondering, if there is any way of implementing and adding a small flash player into the pixelpost software? I was looking around for something like this, but i didn't find anything till now. Would be great cuz I am a music producer aswell and I've written a few tracks which would go along very well with my pictures. Can you guys help me out?

Thanks for your reply.

yes, the template files are made of HTML. You can add flash to these files to play your music.

Oh no!

Not music on websites!

I thought that was outlawed in 1997.

Please, just let your photos speak for themselves without imposing a soundtrack on viewers.

@Theystolemysoul: I'm talking bout artistic-freedom. my project is focused on both sides. Eventhough i understand your concerns I'll have to ask you to let that be my problem.

@Dennis: thank you for answering my question.

I've done this with the custom fields addon and dewplayer. It's quite easy to set up. Check out my blog for an example (click on → CLICK HERE TO SHOW/HIDE TITLE & INFOS): Link (http://www.accessible.de/pixelpost/index.php?showimage=694) and Link (http://www.accessible.de/pixelpost/index.php?showimage=691)

I've also thought about possibly doing this as well, but instead of music, I'd use a little portable sound recorder to record the ambient sounds present when I took the photo. That way people can both see and hear what was going on. At least that's my rough idea for how it could possibly work.

@Crossie: The idea is pretty neat though even that you told me there was a player somewhere, it took me quite a few seconds to find it! I was thinking of adding a small player on the topside somewhere and letting the viewers choose themselves whether they want to listen to my compositions or not.

@jaywilliams: that would suit very well to certain street-projects or other conceptual projects! I had the idea myself since I'm using a edirol r4 for usual sampling purposes. But it's rather difficult having to take pictures at the same time as recording the ambience... unless you have someone who does that part for you!?

Good luck guys

I have worked on the possibilty to have music on pixelpost, and it is possible but I never had time to finish it. You can check this link http://frost.lafaille.ca/ and if your are interersted I can send you the template so you can continue my work...
