Clean and simple, that's what this template brings. Your image is displayed without any visual distractions on the page. To make the photo stand out even more, a small drop-shadow is added to one side. This template contains no-frills, is absent of fancy javascript, and is just plain elegant.

A Bit of Background
Spotless was originally designed for Wordpress by Taly (http://fivebyfive.com.ar/wp-themes/spotless/), but thanks to the open source license that it was released under, I was able to easily port this little gem over to Pixelpost.

You can see a demo of the original Wordpress template here: http://fivebyfive.com.ar (http://fivebyfive.com.ar/wp-themes/demo/index.php?wptheme=Spotless)
Since the Pixelpost version is nearly identical, it will give you a good idea how your blog will look.

This theme is released under a GPL license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html). You can modify and distribute under similar license with source.

pretty nice, but I'm not too fond of the shadow, it's not really consistent with how it would look in reality, unless of course the picture of the surface it's lying on suddenly bends off..

I could however imagine it would be hard code-wise to do this differently unless you have a strechable image, or a fixed height for your images.

Thank you for such a great theme.

Any possibility to add the "Next" and "Previous" on the image?

I've decided to use this one too- it's one of the only templates that I can get to work with v1.7. :( BUT- I do really like it.

I was wondering if you can tell me how to centre the description text? To me, it looks kinda wonky aligned left, especially if it's a short description.

Thanks!

I'm glad you like the template ravenswift. And you're right, the description does look strange when it's short. But luckily, you can fix this easily.

Open up the file /templates/spotless/styles/style.css
And change text-align for blockquote from left to center.

I'm glad the template worked for you. And might I add, your photo are great! I've added a link to your site on the extend project page (http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/templates/spotless/), so hopefully that will send a little traffic your way.

Hi there!

Thanks for this theme!

Is it possible to kick out the comments and RSS buttons totally? I'd like a really "spotless" photo-site.

And also, would it be possible to have the categorys listed on top like:

Red (23) Blue (15) White (44) Green (24)

Thanks a bunch!

Sure it's possible! All you have to do is edit the template files to remove anything you don't want.

If you provide a link to your site, I should be able to help you figure out exactly which template code you should remove.

Hi Jay,

thanks for your help on my previous questions... Now everything looks neat and simple. Only one thing is strange:

When I click on a full-size image. It takes me "back" to the previous one... shouldn't it be taking me to the next one?

Would be great if you gave me a hint on how to edit that...

Best, Flo

EDIT: Found it myself! Thanks anyway!

Hi Jay,

is there a way to hop from one to the next buttons WITHIN one category? In my case I have the category "blue" - if someone hits "next" another picture of the "blue"-category should show up, not the next photo taken or uploaded or sorted by EXIF...

Is that possible?

Yes it's possible, with an addon, such as the GeoS Show Category Addon.

See:
