OK, I made the mistake last night of upgrading to 1.7+
The reason I say mistake is because everything is wacky now, even though I went and changed things back to how I had them (in the admin).
I had paid for a custom theme and that doesn't work with 1.7, apparently. So now I had to put one up that I don't want.
I want to go back to how it was and am not sure how I can do that. I backed up everything, but if I just put that "Blog" folder back on my site, it won't work, correct?
I have the SQL backup, but not sure what to do with it.
I'd keep 1.7 if I knew how to get my theme and everything to work with it. This is vert frustrating. Any help is appreciated.
open new directory on the server
map your domain to the new directory
open a new database in your server
copy / install / configure pixelpost 1.7 in / for that directory
open phpmyadmin and restore (import) the mysql file in the new database
I think that is all.

That seems awful in-depth just to revert back, no?
I have to re-map everything (which I have no clue how to do) and I didn't have 1.7 before I installed it. I just wanted to go back to where I was (which might have been 1.5). Like I said, I backed up my MYSQL and the full blog before upgrading.
I should have known that "easy transition" or whatever it says on the 1.7 page wouldn't be true.

Can you provide a link to your photoblog, along with a list of the issues that need fixing in your template so that you can stay with version 1.7.1?

My blog (http://www.hoohaaphotos.com/blog)
My issues are that I had a custom-made template for my site, but when I put it on there I get a white screen. Nothing that was done is there. I can't figure out how to re-add all the exif data and all that good stuff. I have the focus theme up there now, but would like to go back to the simple one I had with all those bells and whistles.
I'd actually love to pay to get a new custom one done, but not sure how much I'd have to pay (I know what I paid for the one I've had for a couple of years) and how in-depth etc. But until I find someone willing to do that, I'd like to go back to the good ol' theme.

PP is backwards compatible, except for the EXIF. This is however, well documented. Have a look at the addons page, you'll see an update exif button.

Thanks, I've hit that. It would appear that the theme I have for now doesn't show the data.
That being said, the real reason I was trying to think about going back was I had a theme built for the last one I had. Unfortunately, even though it's still all there (and in the backup), it doesn't seem to work with the 1.7. I've tried and tried and it just shows up all white and everything to the right. I was just hoping to be able to go back to my theme as it was simple and my thing.
Is there anyway of trying to figure out how that theme can now work with 1.7?

Could you zip up the template and send it to me? So I can have a look (and hopefully fix it while looking)?

Sure, I think I could do that.
Should I just pull the one out of my backup and zip it all together? (It would have everything that has been put in there etc.)
Also, where to send it to?

Sounds like the custom template came with some custom addons that are not compatible with 1.7.1

My thought as well, so I asked for the addons as well.
