Maximum thumbnail #?

Here's a question...I can't have more than 175 images in ../thumbnails/...is this normal? I can ftp files to that directory after the 175th file, but pp won't upload the 176th thumbnail. (is there a stale image filter?? :-)

No there is not. I have over 250 thumbs.

This problem comes and goes, tonight I can't upload an image without the "you have chosen to open index.php" dialog coming up. The image loads but the thumbnail while named is not in the /thumbnail/ folder. I've disabled the CropImage addon and have the crop set to exact sizes in options. The paths in General Info are all green. I'm at a loss at this point...
