View Full Version : Alternative to <COMMENT_POPUP>?

I'm experimenting with the 'Simple' template, have noticed that the comment popup window will redirect back to the image page, giving the end user TWO windows to deal with. Kind of awkward and sloppy.
Is it possible to eliminate the popup window and embed the 'Add a Comment' functionality within the image display page itself? Has anyone else had similar issues and found a solution? Any ideas appreciated!

There are lots of templates that have the comment functionality built in to the image page. In fact, if you simply copy the template tags out of the comment_template.html file, and put them in your image_template.html file, you'll have that functionality embedded, just like you want.
Also, for a reference of Pixelpost's built in comment tags, please see:
And if you'd like some more inspiration, check out how some of the other templates deal with comments:

Yes, thanx for your reply. I actually saw the light last night - amazing how simple things get once you begin to understand them :-)
