Any way of previewing a redesigned template without it being active?

Hi all,

I have my photoblog running a slightly tweaked version of Delicious but now I want to take a clean installation of Delicious and re-tweak it to come in line with my new portfolio look. I want to keep my current installation active because my visitors don't need to see my work in progress version.

So, is there any way of previewing the new version without making it active?

With pixelpost out of the box, no. But you could write an addon, or hack a little code into your pixelpost file that will show your IP address a different template than everyone else.

What I normally do is setup another pixelpost installation, either on my actual computer, or just setup another install on the server itself, just for testing out addons and templates, without having to worry about damaging my actual photoblog.
