question about photoediting
I am trying to edit some photos using macromedia fireworks, but whenever i save the files, even still as a jpeg file, i lose all my exif information.... any ideas on how to get around this?

EXIF
Are you sure that Macromedia FireWorks support EXIF - Data?
I think, not bye, Connie |
i cant stand fireworks for photography, but anyways...try making a copy of the file, edit what you want, maintain it on one layer, and then save it (over it)...dont save as or save for web which will wipe the exif on older software normally,
and what version of fireworks are you using, def check if exif is supported, i dont see why it wouldnt be on mx 04 at least...it appears that it doesnt, but there are plugins out there that will preserve the exif data... just search "macromedia fireworks exif" in google and read as much as you can i guess...of course check the macromedia fireworks site first though |

Oh gimp, the headache! :)
One thing many people neglects to even consider is the "light" version of Photoshop, Photoshop Elements. It's good enough for most folks and it's quite cheap, US$79.99 from adobe themselves. // punk |
exifutils did the trick... i can edit all I want, then just copy the exif data back in!
whee.. |
or if you area college student...software is discounted a lot
http://www.journeyed.com/ there are more, but just an example |
