Visitors, downloads and general ranting
Got removed from hotscripts.com somehow. Tried to update my listing there because there was a direct download link that downloaded an old version, somehow things got ugly and now pixelpost ain't there.
Which means, visitors to this page and downloads have stalled. Better that than to have people download an old version I suppose. Hotscripts provides for almost all traffic here. Google is the second largest referrer to this place, searches for photoblog software seems to send people this way. Third largest referrer is the wiki over at photoblogs.org. After that it's all over the place. But sofar we ain't talking high numbers. Soon up to a thousand visitors (no unique counting in that, every visitor gets counted again after 60 minutes has passed). Edit: 756 unique visitors (ip-unique) Downloads are up to 84 for the latest release. All downloads together equal just over 300 downloads (all releases together). So, a few people out there are using it, perhaps ten percent of the latest version is a valid guess which would mean approximately 10 sites out there are running pixelpost. That's not much. First release came two weeks ago or something like that. I just hope it'll mature somewhat and a few more people finds it useful. Just a semi-rant while I'm taking a break :) Have a nice day! |
More statistics, I have to enjoy myself while sipping a coke.
Myself are not counted in those stats. |
Thank god I found this little-super-powered-script yesterday! :D
And Thank you for making it and distributing... AWESOME work! Keep up! |
Thanks man, nice to hear :)
Since my script vanished I added a new listing which is up now, so traffic should get up again. Ratings and hits on the listing are of course zeroed (is that a word?) but I'll guess I'll get that up to speed eventually, no panic on that. My rating was rather bad anyhow, 2.3x something. Not bad, not good :P Works for me. // pixelpunk I have a lot of real work this week, support will be a bit less frequent but I will try as hard as I can. |
pixelpunk, i wouldnt be worried. traffic is exponential.
its slow now, but i bet u'll be kicking urself when the million hits wipe out ur server!!:P u rock! |
I am not to worried. But know thyself, or, I do know the inner workings of myself.
If nobody would use pixelpost I would shunt it immediatelly without blinking. I listen to much to people, which is good for you since if you request a feature - it'll be seriously considered. All aside. I'm happy at the moment and looking forward to a few hours fixing for next release. // punKpixel |
I think I will use it quite a lot!
Hi!
my main photoblog is http://stadtbild.zweiterblick.de with estimated 6000 visitors a month, this is done with Nucleus, http://www.nucleuscms.org, which is integrated into my photography webpage http://www.zweiterblick.de I like Nucleus quite a lot, but I wanted to use another script just for photos (my new domain "photografitty.de" will be online soon) and I was looking around, tested some scripts, found a lot of amateur-scripts and this one, pixelpost, just worked... from the first start that is what I really like, now I am going to work on my template, but I think I will not be able to post it here for download, because beside the templates I had to modify the index.php as well Congratulations!
