Pixelpost v1.4.3
Today we release Pixelpost v1.4.3, a security update, which deals with a minor spam issue that has come up in the last week. Before this issue can grow, we would like to give you a way to help us kill the evil spawn of Satan (spam) with this update...
Download v1.4.3 this is not a support thread, discussion about 1.4.3 is welcome, but if you have issues, please post in the Pixelpost Help section |
this doesn't mean we've forgotten about 1.5 - but some things just can't wait!
Sweet deal. Thanks.
In the General Info page it still says version 1.4.2.... Did I mess up the upgrade?
you didn't upload the includes/pixelpost.php file
Sorry, I know this is going to be a stupid question, but originally, you had me try to just upload the new index.php file. I tried that again with this and it just gives me a blank page.
read tinyblobs post right above yours ;)
D'oh! I thought he was talking to you. :-)
OK, just to be sure. I uploaded the whole "includes" folder and the main index.php file. Of course I forgot that you needed to edit the server info in the pixelpost.php file, but figured that part out. Everything seems to be working. Are there other new files that I should also upload from the 1.4.3 package?
is there a detailed changelog somewhere? also, will you guys releasing patch files instead of full package releases for minor updates such as 1.4.3?
i have a few hundred PixelPost installs and a patch file would speed up the process, and i need more substance to justify an upgrade from 1.4.x to 1.4.3 PixelPost is a great platform to work with, except the documentation, no pun intended *needs* a brushing up. i'm looking forward to a dedicated PixelPost wiki. please advise. |
