Problems with images that have disappeared

What happens if an image or a thumbnail has disappeared?

Two things:

1. If the thumbnail to the right is missing, the list of thumbnails will not display any thumbnails to the right of the present one.

2. If the image is missing, an empty square will be present.

1. Is that really true?
2. Yeah I know, that's really weird isn't it? :)

You can't post entries without an image or a title. So this only occurs IF you've manually deleted the picture instead of deleting it from within the admin panel.
I don't worry about it since it makes perfect sense to have it the way it is.

So I should tell my friend who has this problem to fix her empty post and update the thumbnails - and update to the latest version...

Well, the empty post thing requires a nice custom approach. You can do it for her, just find out how the delete link looks and set the id to that of the missing image. There is no other way (phpmyadmin of course, or similar) to remove a post if you've missed to fill in the title field in an old version.
