private comments
 

hi.. sorry if this is a silly question.. i should be sleeping. i wanted to make a comments link that essentially is just an easy method for me to recieve emails from viewers of the site. is there a way to make the comments private.. or nonexistent as all i want are the emails.

find an existing comment_template and simply remove the <IMAGE_COMMENTS> tag.. leaving the form to make comments. that way comments will still go into your database and you'll still be emailed with notifcations but no comments will be shown to the public.

Much easier is to set in PP 1.5 beta comments moderation. After that you can public comments which you want to be public and rest will be private.
