Wait a minute. I've just noticed that changing those lines ^^^ breaks the addon when viewing the site.
If I change the lines back again, the colours work... but the admin part of my site throws up...

I know the feeling - but really, why not just take the counter off for the time being? Don't be worrying about it. If your stuff is worth a comment, it'll get one. Counters don't make people comment....
