basically the rewrite allows you to mask the untidy urls with the clean ones you define in your .htaccess file. so to use the clean urls you need to make sure that all links in your index.php file...

the description etc is placed into default pp templates for this reason. it's a big help with being spotted by search engines - anybody who says google doesn't care about meta date is just stupid......

in my opinion they lack any contrast without really having a soft tone to them. they simply look overexposed in my opinion - which is obviously the desired effect but i don't think it works here.
