if your mysql database is on the same server as...

if your mysql database is on the same server as your webhost.. just use "localhost" as the servername

EXIF Question

is there a way to manipulate what pixelpost reads from the EXIF data so it does not display:

"Camera Model: Canon PowerShot A85'"

it would just give

"Canon PowerShot A85"

question about photoediting

I am trying to edit some photos using macromedia fireworks, but whenever i save the files, even still as a jpeg file, i lose all my exif information.... any ideas on how to get around this?

hrmm even though libjpeg was in /usr/lib and i put --with-jpeg it couldn't find it.. i had to recompile with --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib

Cannot create thumbnails

anyway to debug what the errors are when you try to create thumbnails.
when i upload an image it does not create a thumb nail, and if i try to recreate the thumbnails it just results in a blank...
