This sounds like an interesting project. I am thinking about this, as I have some original video content I would sometimes like to display as part of my photoblog presentation.
One solution without an addon is to upload a dummy photo (it could be a blank 1x1 spacer or a still shot), title the post, and embed the video / flash / object code in the description.
With some CSS formatting hacks you can make it look like a smooth flow.
Sure pixelpost is primarily meant for photo display, but a video is a collection of photos captured in a very fine time-mesh and (sometimes) bundles with audio.
