I have
the Gimp installed on my USB key (among other things like my browser, email, chat, web server, ...) so I use it now and then. That comes in handy when I'm at a PC that doesn't have any image editing software (with more features than paint).
It's an awesome program for being free... and takes some getting used to... but given the choice, PS all the way.
