I think some European PP users would like to donate by using the EU bank transfer (or whatever it is called officially). It's a system that allows transfers between European accounts without extra costs. The point is that it's possible to make transfers to another EU country in a very similar way the domestic transfers are made. For example, it would be so easy for me to copy&paste the donation account number while paying my regular bills on my computer. And the transfer itself wouldn't cost me a thing, I'd give just the amount I'm donating.
So it requires an European bank account with IBAN code (most accounts have this automatically, I think). The transfers have to be euros-to-euros in order to minimize the transfer costs (for example using British pounds could cause some transfer costs).
