Nic, it simply means step 1 an 2 need to be performed in reverse order
. So, first copy the darkmatter directory into your PP templates directory, then put dm_support.php in your addons directory and enable it.
I have changed the instructions in the new upcoming version to prevent this confusion. It also doesn't break the Addons page anymore but shows a nice error message.
