We're proud to be sending out our first newsletter! Even if it is just a dinky text based client from the forum. But hey, it’s important so PLEASE read!

1. Security Update

The Pixelpost Dev team would like to announce v1.4.2, a security update from v1.4.1 and previous Pixelpost releases. Minor issues have come into play regarding ref page spam and steps have been taken forward in the release to counter it. The Pixelpost development team HIGHLY recommends the update for all Pixelpost users as soon as possible. If you have any questions please visit the Pixelpost Forums.

BE SURE TO BACK EVERYTHING UP BEFORE YOU START THE UPGRADE! Instructions and the usual will be found in the package you download though, should be a pretty smooth thing.

2. Pixelpost + Eleven2 = ?

Pixelpost.org has teamed up with Eleven2 Hosting to make life easier for users.

For starters Pixelpost users get a 20% discount fore LIFE from Eleven2 Hosting. Not a shabby starts huh?

If you already have a host and would like to switch to Eleven2, their support will move your site to your new e2 account and guarantee a smooth/seemless transition at no charge.

Lastly if you have any issues, they offer AIM support, email support, support tickets, and even have their own section in the Pixelpost forums for you to ask questions regarding hosting your Pixelpost photoblog.

As a last note, Pixelpost is working to resolve a fantastico's one click install solution so users who are not so tech savvy can install Pixelpost easier than ever using Eleven2's servers. Cool huh?

Well, sorta...this is how it works really.

Each week we see something that blows us away, we give it an award, bragging rights mostly...but the trick is that we rely on you the users to nominate it. So if you know of an awesome photoblog that uses Pixelpost, go ahead and share it with us!

4. Old Site (Pixelpost.org v1)

The original site has been placed back online so some users can get to other toys found there.

Sorry the new one is taking so long, it's summer and nothing seems to be freeing up. What ever happened to vacation huh? We promise it will be worth the wait though!

it appears some users did not, most likely due to spam filters or their profile preference or something. I will look into it. But if anyone knows anyone who uses pixelpost...tell them ASAP please

weird people did not recieve it, concidering to register your email has to be correct. Might be flagged as spam...I donno. But phpbb does not have a good mail system at all. Later down the road I think a Pixelpost newsletter subscription system will be put in place, to recive news about updates and such...we'll see.

I might try to send it again just to see if you recieve it this time.

Oh well, time to go listen to a lecture and catch some rest. Hopefully wont snore out loud!
