Naughty PP!

I've just reinstalled my computer, and reply (stupidly) on FireFox remembering passwords.. and I forget my PP password.

Actually, I'm 99% sure it was the right password, but I'm not going to argue..

No bother, me thinks. I'll just hit 'recover password' and it'll all be fine..

Code:
Database error:
Updating the new password failed.
So I had to go into the database and fiddle, but any idea why this happens?

now you have lost your password. search the forum for lost password and you find plenty of stuff.

btw, there is longly addressed bug in 1.4.1 and in 1.4.2 as well that if it fails to update the password it will change it to an unrecoverable stuff! Whoops! it was found in 1.4.1 but due to the headaches of spam we forgot to put it into 1.4.2.

again, no panic. just recover password more manually. search the forum.

@raminia: I've got my password back, was in phpmyadmin and reset it. Searched the forum in the first instance before posting

@blinking8s: That's all the error message said - no styling or anything. Just wondering what caused it, not so much for me for others if it happens to them. Not everyone is good at messing with mysql.
