Browser issues, need help!

Ok, I probably shouldn't be posting this here but I know there are some html wizzes out there who might be able to solve this problem.

My site works/renders great in any Gecko based browser (Mozilla/Safari/etc.) but it has slight issues in Opera 7.54 and IE6. I've supplied some screenshots to show exactly what I mean.

Firefox:

Opera:

The beginning of the post should line up with the top of the image. I've tried every solution that I know of but as far as I can tell the browsers are just rendering cellspace differently or something. I'm really hoping to avoid having to use a browser detect script so if anyone knows an html/css solution I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.

yes, you should never work with browser-detection-scripts for sure, as they are responsible for a lot of problems ;=)

to solve your problem with CSS I think you might find some help in special forums, concentrating on CSS

I must tell you, that I had such a lot of problems with CSS in the last time, with IE, that I just have no whish to dive into that in the moment ops:

Especially IE took so much of my lifetime already that I am too upset in the moment
